Spookie's Lair

This room is exclusively for cats that have tested positive for Feline Leukemia. The feline Leukemia virus is similar to the Feline Immunodeficiency virus in that it is not transmittable to humans, but can be passed to other cats through bite wounds, litter boxes, etc. The virus itself can not live outside of the host (the cat) for more than a minute or two, and can not travel through the air.

Although the virus these cats carry is not readily transmittable to other cats, these cats are housed in a separate area from all our other residents. Several of the cats in this area are recieving a new drug therapy to boost their immune systems and help them fight the leukemia virus.
